Expedia would like to offer you the opportunity of becoming a member of the largest online travel booking service in the world and to earn commissions on hotels, flights, car rental and activities.

Why become a member of the Expedia Travel Agent Program:

  • Expedia offers substantial commissions for hotels, flights, Tailor-Made packages, car rental and activities, at the same time guaranteeing to your customers products of excellent quality at extremely competitive prices.

  • Thanks to our database of over 100,000 hotels throughout the world, we help you to easily and quickly find the best possible product for your customers. This database is continuously updated and improved with the addition of approximately 300 Expedia Special Rate hotels each month.

  • Our search engine allows you to check the availability of rooms and make a booking in real time. With our system you will also be able to view key information on the specific hotel (position, services available, room features, photographs), or other travel products that you book on behalf of your customers.

  • The only payment method accepted by Expedia is by credit card

  • Transactions performed via our site are protected by the security standards offered by SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption technology.

Becoming a member

  • Membership to Expedia's Travel Agency Affiliate Program is subject to a one time membership fee of $50 which shall not be paid in advance, but which will be deducted from the first Marketing Fee payment.

  • Once the contract has been accepted, you will be sent a Tracking Code beginning with WS_____. This is the tracking code exclusive to your agency, allowing you access to the website, to make reservations, track your bookings and accrue commissions.

  • Commission levels for TAAP are:

    • 10% for Expedia Special Rate hotels
    • $6 per booking for Agency Hotels
    • 5% on vacation packages (flight+hotel, flight+car rental, flight+hotel+car rental). Note Minimum 3 night/3day Land Content
    • 3% on vacation packages (flight+hotel, flight+car rental, flight+hotel+car rental). Note Less than 3 night/3day Land Content
    • 10% for activities

  • The program is open to travel agents in the US. We’ll be accepting any one of the following:
  • IATA (IATAN)
  • ARC
  • CLIA
  • Other (requires all four of the below):
    • 1. A letter of request on your own agency’s letterhead declaring why you are seeking this direct relationship.
    2. Copies of your state or local business licenses.
    3. Your federal employer ID number.
    4. Proof of errors and omissions insurance.
